UNI) The Supreme Court declined to order a CBI probe into the death of a 7-year-old girl whose body was found in a car parked near the residence of former BJP president Nitin Gadkari.
The apex court rejected the request of the petitioner for a CBI probe into the death of Yogita Thakre holding that the investigation conducted by the local police seems to be fair.
The petitioner had urged the Supreme Court that for free and fair investigation into the murder of the girl, the probe may be handed over to CBI alleging that the local police was making no efforts to crack the case. UNI
