Delhi HC dismisses plea to stay telecast of Race 2 on TV this Sunday

Delhi HC (UNI) The Delhi High Court refused to stay the telecast of Bollywood Movie Race 2 which will shown on a leading TV channel this Sunday. A bench comprising Chief Justice D Murugesan and Justice Jayant Nath dismissed the PIL filed by a social worker Tina Sharma who sought the court's intervention to stay the telecast of the movie as it was full of nudity and vulgarity. The bench said the movie has already been released in theatres a few months earlier and to stay it at this stage is not proper. The movie starring Saif Ali Khan will be telecast on Zee TV on May 12 at 1300 hrs. The petitioner alleged that the movie has nude scenes and is not fit to be shown in the theatres also leave aside the TV channel and sought a stay on its telecast this Sunday. Earlier also Sharma had filed a petition in the HC asking a ban on the movie but the court had dismissed her petition with instructions to the censor board to look into the matter. UNI
